Martina Valchářová

Martina lives and serves in northern Moravia, Czech Republic—a region steeped in a deep spiritual legacy shaped by reformers like Jan Hus and the historic Moravian Brethren, yet situated today within one of Europe’s most secular nations. Out of 10.9 million people, fewer than 1% are evangelical Christians.

Martina’s journey of faith took a defining turn in Cambridge, UK, where she came to know Christ and was disciple-mentored by Dr. Cecilia Brassett. Returning home with a deep passion for Christ, she served for three years as Project Leader for Christianity Explored at PROMISE CZ. In this role, she helped translate and adapt flexible course materials for evangelism and discipleship that are now widely used across almost all Czech denominations in local churches, small groups, online settings, and prisons.

Today, Martina expresses her heart for reaching people at every level of society through several complementary ministries:

• Evangelism & Discipleship with Christianity Explored: She continues to run Christianity Explored courses, guiding individuals through group settings and one-on-one sessions.
• Digital Evangelism with HledamBoha.cz: As a volunteer e-mentor for the Czech branch of Jesus.net, she engages online seekers searching for spiritual answers, guiding them toward Christ and bridging digital exploration with connection to local church communities.
• Prison Ministry with MVS: In partnership with Mezinárodní vězeňské společenství (MVS—the Czech branch of Prison Fellowship International), Martina serves in Czech correctional facilities, where programs are currently active in 20 of the country's 40 prisons. She facilitates The Prisoner’s Journey—an interactive study of Mark’s Gospel introducing inmates to a personal, transformational relationship with Jesus. She also published Discipleship Explored (Prison Edition), using Paul’s letter to the Philippians to foster joy and spiritual community behind bars.
• Living Her Heritage: Active in the Moravian National History Association, she helps preserve the historic legacy of Moravian missions while applying their core vision to contemporary ministry: to be Christ-Centred, Spirit-Driven, and Mission-Minded.
