Stephan & Claudia Pohn

We seek to disciple and equip national believers to take on the responsibility of leading the church further into maturity and faithful gospel ministry. Our desire is to see Austrians come to know Christ and that believers would mature in their understanding and application of God's Word and their love for the God it reveals.

After completing their training at Sydney Missionary and Bible College, Stephan and Claudia returned to German-speaking Europe. Their team of national workers is stationed in the very west of Austria, where the borders of Austria, Switzerland, and Germany meet. The evangelical church has only been around there for 50 years. As the second generation of national believers slowly takes on the leadership of the church, it is their desire to see national believers leading the church further into maturity and faithful gospel ministry.

Stephan and Claudia live with their four young children in Dornbirn, where both serve in an evangelical church as well as in interchurch contexts. They are involved in pastoral ministry, discipleship, speaking God’s Word into people’s lives, and equipping men and women to serve and lead the church. Christlike discipleship and the expository preaching and teaching  of God’s Word are at the heart of their ministry. Stephan is working as a full-time minister and is also one of the founding members of the Langham Preaching movement in Austria.
