Made for Mission: Discover Your Disciple-Making Strengths
Effective disciple-making isn’t about copying someone else’s style — it begins with understanding how God has shaped you. When you grow in self-awareness, you can serve more intentionally, build healthier teams, and invest in others more fruitfully.
In ECMI we find these two free online tools to be of help:
-
The Myers-Briggs Personality Type test explores your natural preferences, communication style, strengths, and blind spots. It can help you understand how you relate to people, handle conflict, and nurture spiritual growth in others.
-
The Belbin Team Roles test helps you identify the role you instinctively play in a team — whether you’re a visionary, organiser, encourager, or finisher. Disciple-making is rarely a solo task; knowing your team contribution strengthens collaboration and shared mission.
Together, these tools offer practical insight into how you can participate more confidently and intentionally in making disciples — not by changing who you are, but by stewarding who you already are.
Church for All
According to the Lausanne Movement, over 90% of the disabled do not hear the Gospel. It is clear from the Bible that it is God’s desire that all people are part of God’s kingdom, including those with a disability.
Within ECMI we have established a monthly online group to help Christians and churches disciple those affected by disability, addiction, mental health issues, etc. The group aims to raise awareness on disability, provide training, and come alongside to explore how people living with disabilities can be reached, supported and fully included.
See the planned meetings and topics for the coming months. If you would like to join any of these meetings, please contact Rosaliene Donaldson on rosaliene.donaldson@ecmi.org.

Time to Grow
Do you want to see more fruit in your own life and ministry?
Do you want to be a person who acts more like Jesus?
And do you want to see lots of other people come closer to Jesus?
We want to see you bearing much fruit — fruit that will last. That’s why one of our leaders in ECMI created Time to Grow — a discipleship programme to help you stay connected to Jesus.
How does Time to Grow work? Just as Jesus taught using simple pictures from daily life, Time to Grow uses gardening imagery to help you think about what it means to be a better disciple of Jesus. There are 16 sessions that can be easily carried in person or online in a small group.
Time to Grow isn’t a discipleship tool for you to use to teach new Christians the basics, such as how to study the Bible or pray. It has been specifically designed to help you and other Christians to grow closer to Jesus, so that you can be more fruitful in your life and ministry.

Making Disciples Among Muslims in Europe
Growing in cultural understanding and faithful engagement prepares us to build meaningful relationships and share the gospel with our Muslim neighbours.
These two courses by an ECMI specialist in Muslim-Christian relationships offer practical insight and training for life-on-mission in Europe:
1. 🔗 Approaches to Islam
This course explores the history of Christian–Muslim relations from the earliest encounters to today, highlighting different responses and ministry approaches Christians have taken towards Islam and its followers. 👉 Learn how history shapes mission and informs faithful engagement.
2. 🔗 Sharing Lives
A practical course designed to help Christians share their lives with Muslims — not just information. You’ll discover how to build authentic relationships, listen well, and reflect Christ in everyday life. 👉 Grow in relational disciple-making across cultural and religious boundaries.
