Ellis & David Koelewijn

We believe that we are discipling people through living and working together. We have good conversations, live the Gospel and act to these norms and values.

In 2013 Ellis Koelewijn moved to Schwerin (in the north east of Germany) to do children's work in a disadvantaged area and to work together with the existing team at pioneering a church plant.

"After trying different things, we as a team have discovered two concepts that click with the people here; the so called feast at the street "Kepler Open Air" as well as the family feast "Plattenpraise". These events are hold on a monthly basis. But even these events were too few for the people here; they have a lot of time and talents to give, because most of them have no job. That's why we bought the former Postoffice in 2016 to rebuild it to the so called Patchwork Center; together with the team, the neighbours and a few professionals."

We believe that we are discipling people through living and working together. We have good conversations, live the Gospel and act to these norms and values. One rule at the construction base is, that if you feel irritated about someone, you just say it and not gossip about that person. We see that this works! People, in a spiritual dead area, are going to think about Jesus, the Bible and God.

Besides that we are still having our monthly feasts and am I working with the children from very poor families.
