Marco & Margarete Silva

We are passionate about Christ and bringing His love to the ends of the earth. As parents of Maressa and Larissa, we have had an extraordinary experience of faith that took us from Brazil to the heart of Africa, and now prepares us for a new mission in Spain.

We are missionaries, called to serve, fully dedicated to the ministry, and we combine our gifts to serve the Kingdom. I (Marco) am a football coach and lead church planting and leadership training initiatives; Margarete transforms lives through early childhood education and women's outreach activities.

During five intense years in Equatorial Guinea, we experienced the transforming power of the gospel in one of Africa's most challenging regions. We saw entire communities impacted through a holistic approach that combines gospel proclamation, social development, and investment in the next generation. The church planted, every child educated, and every young person reached through sport represent seeds of eternity that will continue to bear fruit for generations.

Our next challenge is Spain, a country that once sent missionaries to evangelise the world, but today is one of the most challenging fields in Europe, with less than 1% of the population being practising evangelicals. The spiritual diaspora is deep and alarming. Centuries-old churches are empty. An entire generation has grown up without knowing the genuine gospel of Jesus Christ.

God is directing us in this first moment to Cabra, a historic city in the beautiful region of Andalusia. There, in southern Spain, where Moorish influences still echo in the narrow streets and white buildings under the Mediterranean sun, we will extend the ministry that already operates there to neighbouring municipalities. A church that is a beacon of hope for a lost generation. Materialism, rationalism, and disillusionment with empty religiosity have created a huge spiritual vacuum. Millions of Spaniards live without hope, without eternal purpose, seeking meaning in postmodern philosophies that only increase their existential emptiness. This is the diaspora that calls us: not a geographical dispersion, but a spiritual dispersion of epic proportions.

Our vision is not limited to Cabra alone. We dream of a movement of the Spirit that will sweep across Andalusia and awaken Spain to the gospel. We want to see vibrant churches established in every city, young Spaniards passionate about Jesus, and families restored by the power of God. We believe that God can use our experience in Africa to impact Europe in a powerful and lasting way.
