Laura Sanlon
.
I graduated in Business Studies and in a Post Grad in Administration and Law and went straight to Belfast Bible College to study for three years. The Lord put overseas mission on my heart and confirmed His call to serve in Spain. I served with UFM Worldwide for 27 years in Spain serving with the FIEIDE (Federation of Independent Evangelical churches in Spain). Ministry included local church ministry for 13 years before moving to serve nationally and developing the FIEIDE National Youth Ministry and pioneering mission trips for the Federation. I served with a Bi-annual National Missions event called ‘Mision Possible’ for 16 years and became the Director during my final years. I gained an MA in Practical Pastoral Theology.
The Lord guided me to finish in Spain and I was invited to go to Nairobi Chapel, Kenya to train Kenyans for cross cultural ministry in church planting. I gained a Masters Cert in Missional Leadership during the transition period. I served in Kenya until Covid in 2020 when the ministry closed up due to Covid impact in 2021.
The Lord opened new opportunities for me to serve in Mission Research with Latin Link and Lausanne Europe from 2022 until the present, now based in Belfast. I also serve as a voluntary chaplain in a hospital and a Hospice.
