Mission
ECM works in church planting and church development in Sweden.
ECM longs for...
Sweden is known as one of the most secularized countries in the world. A large part of the population is a member of the Lutheran Church, but only a few percent regularly attend church services. Especially in the north, faith seems to have completely disappeared from society.
ECM has been focusing its work for many years particularly on the Sámi, a people with their own language and parliament. ECM desires that the Gospel will also gain more significance for this group of people. Since 2012, ECM has also been focusing on Stockholm, one of the most secularized cities in Europe. Church involvement there is much lower than in, for example, Gothenburg, the second city of Sweden. There is also a need for workers in other pioneering places in Sweden. ECM collaborates with the Uniting Church in Sweden.
