Alcora is an industrial town of about 11,000 people. It forms a corner in the so called "ceramic tile factory triangle" (with Onda and Villa-real) in the province of Castellón (Valencian Comunity).

The work in Alcora started almost at the same time as the work in Onda started. After about 1 year of the "Onda Amiga" evangelistic campaign in 2004, some people started to attend the small group in Onda... from Alcora! They began attending and because of traveling distance, time and the fact that there was no evangelical church in Alcora, they asked if someone could come and help them.

Marisa and Guillermo Kampjes were the first ones responsible for the group there and started regular meetings from March 2008 and they continued with a Bible study twice a month. However, they were traveling from Onda, because they also were involved in the project there and lived there, and so the group in Alcora requested a missionary family to come and live in the town with them.

B.J. & Rachel Whitaker moved to Alcora in 2010, and during 3 years laid the spiritual and relational groundwork for establishing a church plant in the town.  In 2014 we formed a with the Kampjes and local believers, and in 2015 we opened a storefront ministry center for our small community of believers to meet for worship services and to reach out into the community through offering English classes, activities for families and children, and counseling services.  Our church community is called Comunidad Cristiana En El Camino, the "Christian Community on the Way," so please pray for us as we invite others to follow Jesus with us.
