Facts, figures and glossary of terms
In this section we present the numbers of people who are engaged in the mission. Like most organisations European Christian Mission has its own language and set of acronyms and abreviations. In order to avoid too much confusion we have listed the main ones here.

Glossary of terms
Our membership categories
Full International Member
An international member who lives abroad as a missionary and whose ministry is their prime or only focus.
Bi-vocational International Member
An international member who lives abroad as a missionary but also has paid employment to build contacts in the community and/or to supplement their support.
Full National Member
A missionary living in their own country whose ministry is their prime or only focus.
Bi-vocational National Member
A missionary living in their own country but who also has paid employment to build contacts in the community and/or to supplement their support.
Secondee (to another agency)
Someone sent out by a Mobilisation Team and seconded to another agency. The local field has no direct responsibility for them.
Associate
Someone who identifies with ECM, who supports its vision and purpose and wants to enjoy the benefits of being networked with us, but where there is limited administrative support or field oversight.
